End of April Great Book Give-away

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

The last two weeks of April’s books for my year-long Great Book Give-away are listed below.

If you want to be in the drawing for a book, please use the contact link at the bottom of this page or on the contest page to send me your name and address (snail and email) so if Mitch and Micah pick your name, I can send out a note to let you know to expect a book and can send the book without having to pester you for an address.

As I’m off to Montana today, the dogs will pick the winners when I get back and can provide treat incentives (they are bribe-able, it seems).

The 3rd week books are:

  • Anne McAllister:  Nathan’s Child
  • Candice Hern: Just One of Those Flings
  • Michelle Styles:  Sold and Seduced
  • Sherry Thomas: Private Arrangements
  • Julia Harper:  For the Love of Pete
  • Sarah Arthur:  Dating Mr Darcy
  • Alexandra Potter: Mr and Mr Darcy

And for the last week:

  • Anne McAllister:  The Santorini Bride
  • Stephanie Laurens:  The Lady Chosen & The Gentleman’s Honour (2 for 1)
  • Candice Hern: The Thrill of the Night
  • Eloisa James:  Duchess in Love
  • Nora Roberts:  Key of Valor
  • Lucy Gordon:  Beauty and the Boss
  • Cathie Linz:  Mad, Bad and Blonde

Have fun while I’m gone.  I’ll post the first two weeks of May’s books when I get back.  Will mail all of April’s books (and Rach’s March book!) then, too.  Think of this as delayed gratification.  It’s like waiting for royalty checks.  Honest.

New home!

You won’t see anything different if you’ve bookmarked my blog at www.annemcallister.com/blog/ — but if you came from blogger, via redirection, please rebookmark me!

I wouldn’t want to go on rambling here without you!

Heather The Wonder Webmistress has succeeding in resituating the blog and redirecting the traffic, so now it’s up to me to post the rest of the April books for the Great Book Give-Away and also to add a couple of weeks of May books.

Who’d have thought that would be difficult? But the last few weeks have been seriously weird. So I hope to get them posted tomorrow and take off for Montana (yea!) the next day for a long-overdue visit with cowboys and grandkids and my own kid and so forth.

Check back tomorrow and see if I’ve mastered this new form and can post real posts!

Where I’ve Been

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

It seems like I do a lot of apologizing on this blog lately. And I’m doing it again, but life as I have recently come to know it has been getting in the way of regular posting.

My mother has been very ill and continues to be, and so I have not had the time to post — or even to write the book I’m supposed to be writing — that I would ordinarily have.

On top of that, the day after we came back from New York, my dear friend and traveling companion for the journey, Nancy the Cat Slayer, lost her son in an accident.

If there is anything worse than losing a parent by inches, it is losing a child in a matter of moments. He was the best friend of one of my sons for years and years.

Suffice to say, life around here has not be full of fun and games of late.

I will be putting together the last two weeks of April’s worth of books for the Great Book Give-Away and I appreciate your patience. Rach, if you read this, I’m still in the process of getting your book mailed. Everyone else who has won a book so far, I’ve posted the last of them through March. I’m working on sending out those from the first two weeks of April.

Bear with me. We’ll get there.

If you want one of the writing books, let me know. I’ve still got a couple of them left.

Cheers? Well, yes, it will be again sometime soon.

Oh, and big Hank is one today — so there are bright spots in life.
